Fabia rear stut bars

Featured Replies

Received mine Tuesday. Painted black magic to go with the brum brum, im going to fit it after work if I have time.

How long does it take to fit? Roughly?

took me about 45 mins because i had to do some cutting down of bolts and a lot of grazing my fingers on the bloody car

They all went out on Saturday - you should have had it by now??

I used the bolts supplied, poked one through the hole and wound the bar on about half way then used a 13mm 1/4 drive socket and wound the bolt in the other side and tightened up. Mine was a bit short so made some packing washers and slotted them in before clamping up. Fitting the bar took 10mins.

i no longer want mine

its been sprayed black magic

Can I ask why?

i dont want to make the ride too firm.

Which begs the question why buy a brace?

I'm sure you will find someone that will snap it up though, proving very popular.

Yea it has finally arrived. Thanks

I know I already have it lowered and a whiteline RARB on it though and I'm happy with how it drives.

Just need to either stick it on eBay or renew my freedom membership because I want to get rid of this strut brace and my headlights and an xbox controller too haha.

I'd be interested in the brace if you need to sell it :-)

Having a nightmare trying to fit this.

Bar was too short but solved that with packing the width out.

PROBLEM IS...the angle at which the bar meets the bolt is making it impossible, as the bolt enters through the bracket facing down at an angle, but the bar site completely vertical...how do you get it to face up and actually grip the thread of the bar? Tried everything :S

tried pm you ryan but i cant

Seems a bit weird that some of the bars seem short? They were all cut to the same length. Maybe it is just the shells not all being exactly the same.

As for fitting the bars them selves - I took me ages to fit the first one. But the next few where easier to do. I finally bought a flexi-drive to do the fittings. I use a small cardboard box to hold one side of the bar up - first time I did it I used a paperback book it did a good job.

Just recieved my strut today and will post some pictures when it is instaled in car.

Also thanks for sending it to Slovenia.

HELP PLEASE!

Is there anyone in the North East of England or Yorkshire (Middlesbrough,Richmond,Durham etc) who has fitted one of these already and could please do mine for me??

I have fitted one side (mechanic friend did it for me) but gave up on the other side after over an hour trying. Cut a bolt down so it'd fit between the wheel arch and the bracket and that was fine but it just won't line up straight. It was ok on the other side because you could tilt the bar to take the thread than move it up straight but now it's attached you can't do it for the other side. Any help would be appreciated! Beer money included, thanks
