i got a dull knocking coming from the ds front wheel when i go over a pot hole or speed bump at speed wheel doesnt seem to move and i tryed bouncing the car and upper strut of sus dont move nether but it has been leeking oil from it for a while so maby new sus needed any clues to common problems?

anti roll bar bushes, top shock absorber mounts, wishbone or balljoints.

more than likely ARB bushes - last 5 years on average, mine are wearing out for a 2nd time.

what are arb bushes? think im going to replace the lot it mainly does it it i go over a speed bump not straight on thinks it will be the roll bar some where :(

new bushes all round then are the silicone or something along the lines of.. ones any better?

Arb - Anti Roll Bar. The bushes are the rubber bits which are part of the mounting. They wear and cause the knocking you describe. Cheap fix.
