Vrs purchase

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've just been to look at an 06 plate fabia vrs. It's in mint condition apart from a cracked fog lamp which is easily rectified I'm sure. It has a full skoda history apart from the last one which was by jabbasport. This made me think that maybe it had been "played" with. On the test drive it pulled like an absolute train, and literally blew me away! Is there any way to tell if it had been mapped? I looked under te bonnet for any other mods but couldn't see anything. I could ring jabbasport and ask but I cant remember the reg!

Jabbasport wont necessarily have mapped it (or anyone) as they offer servicing too. Test drive one that you know has been standard and then you'll get an idea as to whether that one has been mapped?

Hiya, I'm happy either way. It was great and if it was standard then I probably won't get it mapped but if it was then it was amazing!!

What car you changing from? And there is a pretty good chance I'd say of it being mapped although they do go really wel as standard anyway. When I changed from my first car a 1.2 16valve Clio I thought I was the fastest thing on the road! Lol nooo how dare you try to overtake me! lol you soon get used to it tho and start thinking there is something wrong with the car lol

I'm changing from a 2.0t Volvo s60 remapped to 220bhp. The fabia felt loads faster than the s60, and I know the diesel torque etc makes a difference but it was epic!!

Frig lol maybe there's a hybrid turbo thrown in and all lol get the reg and phone jabba, you could be lucky lol

Even over 200bhp can feel quite slow... Especially when an evo x has just hit warp speed and overtaken

Know the feeling, gtr overtook me the other day between the roundabouts
