So had a package in the post today

So removed the headlights, and gave them a good clean (its amazing how many pock marks were in them from stones

One down, one to go

Back on the Car... look more blue than the camera was picking up had to darken the camera a bit to get the full effect

my first and foremost thought is GRILL SURROUND NEEDS COLOUR CODED ASAP would compliment it even more shocked you havent already but I can't decide until then if I like it im on the fence

Nah, chrome goes with the lights on the pre fl but you're right it does need doing on the fl as it's too ott imo

Like the lamin x - seen a previous thread but thought it was way too pricey - and I've got Xenon's anyway...

got it from lamin-x in the states, the exchange rate made a difference in price

also it doesn't make the light blue like hids, when the lights are on it looks normal, just blue tint when switched off

thinking about maybe blue chrome vinyl for the surround :wonder: :wonder:

Just been on the lamin-x UK site and found this picture for a black pre fl with gunsmoked tints !

What r ur thoughts would this gain more notice from our lovely Boys in blue or not !

Tbh I wouldn't go for smoked tints, bit to dark IMHO, I plan on wrapping my lamps in subtle tint in the next few weeks, so watch this space!

EDIT: photoshop effort - drivers side with subtle tint, passenger side standard!

No excuse for that nearly slat the pc across the floor when I did it !

Have a look at Skodaphiles vRS mate (iirc it is in the 'subtle tint' gallery on th Lamin-x website), he has wrapped his lamps in subtle tint from Lamin-x and interestingly enough his chrome grille suround, looks sweet!

Looks interesting but dont forget that as per the Lamin-X website use of Lamin-X in the UK is technically illegal and is sold here "For offroad use only" and they will not be held liable if you are caught using it on the road, its in the small print of their site.

Yeah skodaphile has doone a nice job on his with the subtle tints, looks well in the flesh too as his car is dark, that was the reason i went for the blue

oh and carbon fibre..... :wonder:

Oh and the fogs are yellow now too, will get more pics tomorrow

I have fitted the smoked tint to my DRL's, when off they are almost black, when on there is little or no difference in light output so legality aside I don't think the (lighter) subtle tint will have any effect. I'm sure skodaphile will confirm this.

Hopefully the boys in blue will have more pressing matters to attend to.
