There's lots of opinions on best discs/pads combos on here, and I'm sure others will be along to advise better than me.

I can say that the Fabia definitely doesn't have wear sensors though.

So im just after standard pads without sensors as they asked me when gettin a price.

If the pads come with the wires for sensors, just clip them off.

Best thing is to have a look at the caliper....if you have an extra set of wires coming from the pads then you have wear sensors (Most Fabias will have a set of wires going to the hub at the 12o'clock position for the ABS sensor). I wouldn't get cross drilled.....I use EBC 3GD grooved and dimpled gold coloured discs with EBC Greenstuff pads...very good! B)

Go 312mm, and fit oem discs and pads.

Or ds2500 pads, if you can stretch your budget.

I'm looking at the moment as well. Pagid do good discs and I'm literally on the 'phone with my local stealer at the moment. Wayside want to charge me £48.86 per OEM disc and £40.22 for the pad set. £138 for OEM

Think I'll go to Euro Car parts - £90 odd quid for Pagid discs and pads including 15% off at the moment

I agree with the above, see if you can get a 312mm brake kit from an Audi TT /Seat Leon / S3 etc (about £200-£300 from breakers) again as above if you can stretch to it a good set of pads like Ferrodo or Tarox with stock discs (I had this set up on my Ibiza and was very good)

One other thing to keep in mind too is your brake fluid - if not changed every 2 years it can really give a nasty feel to the pedal. Even with replacement of stock DOT 4 can make a difference to 2+ year old fluid. Or while you are doing it go for the Tarox Super DOT 4 which has a higher boiling point than the regulator DOT 4 :)

By all means if you like give us a call to have a chat about the options on 0161 776 0777 option 1

Awesome-Mike
