How to remove this?

Featured Replies

Hello!

I've been reading around alot but this is my first post. We bought this Superb two weeks ago and it is great! But it seems like the dealer has used compressed air to clean the dashboard and there is some grey stripes under the transparent plastic that is covering the speedometer and the rpm-meter. My question is if it is possible to easily remove this and clean?

Removing the instrument binnacle itself may be straight forward, but I'm not so sure about removing the individual plastic glass elements... I'd be marching back to the dealer and getting them to sort it if it was me...!

Hmm, I think I have a similar, but not so evident problem as you and thats a 6 months old car... I'll talk to my dealer when I show him my broken door speaker.

I'd let the dealer look at it and get them to sort - removing the dash would be relatively simple but suspect the plastic screens on the individual dials will be semi-sealed? Are you sure they are on the inside and not outside.

I'm not sure what the dealer's liability will be. How old is the car (given the mileage shown in the picture)?

I am sure that it is on the inside :-( the car is one year old but we just bought it a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe a trip to the parts dept and get them to give u an exploded diagram of the instrument binnacle.....maybe it is clipped together, as if it was a sealed unit i'm sure dust wudnt get inside. Worth a try before u tackle it further.
