xenon headlamp

Featured Replies

Hello

some idiot thought it would be a good idea to run into my vrs recently so I've had to renew one of the xenon headlights. the problem is now i have one new and one that looks dull so does anyone know where i can get a replacement lens or can it be polished up

thanks

Wet dry sand paper and a polisher is your friend :) google it will find so guides on it :) detailing world

Google something along the lines of 'wetsanding headlights'. Can work wonders!

I achieved thison my Polo in a couple of hours, which I was pleased with. People with the right stuff can do a much better job though!

I think you should be able to get a non-xenon unit, take the plastic lens off and swap it with the faded one on the xenon unit, but I'd wait for someone to confirm/deny this first"

Ok cheers for that ill have a look and give it a go

If it doesn't work then replacement xenon headlights are available on ebay, £300+ though

If it doesnt work just buy a standard headlight, split it and fit the front. The headlights are the same, the only difference is the projector. :)

A bodyshop should do it aswell if you dont feel confident to taking sandpaper to a £350 headlight
