Recommended Posts

How's it goin chaps, after I use my indicators or sometimes I does it randomly when driving, the clicking noise u get when using the indicators starts clicking again but faster. Indicators don't light up but u just hear the clicking? Anyone any ideas?

Will almost definitely be either a faulty hazard relay (comes as part of the switch) or faulty indicator stalk. Hazard switch is more common, cheaper, and easier to DIY so I'd start there.

It sounds like it's coming from the stalk but it sounds like a relay clicking, being honest I'm hoping it's a stalk lol (excuse to buy cruise control stalk) what's the best way to find out? Bring it into skoda?

The usual cause of random indicator clicking is the relay which is part of the hazard switch, its a very common problem on the Octavia MK1.

Cruise is quiet complicated and time consuming to fit to a MK1 octy.

In case you still have not managed to fix this, I've a tip for you. Get some contact cleaner and spray it at the stalk's base while moving the stalk up and down. This fixed my problems and only cost 4€.
