Air Con

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise if air con was standard on the Comfort and Elegance models and if so did it only become standard after a certain date?

Looking at possibly getting another Fabia, and fancy a TDi Comfort or Elegance but air con is an essential item.

Cheers

Don't take this as gospel, but IIRC it was standard from around 2001. That is based on the Polo which had aircon except the entry level model.

Before 2004 a/c was an (£500) option on the comfort. I bought a Comfort SE (summer edition) in June 2004. That was a promo version that added a/c and alloys to the runout model. After that came the 2005 facelift - a/c then became standard kit on the mid range model IIRC.

It was standard on the Comfort when the Fabia was introduced, then later on Skoda UK had a bit of a cost cutting exercise. It became a £500 option on the comfort, the flip out keys were changed for normal ones and rear electric windows were deleted on the Elegance.

Nice one, cheers guys. So it was standard up to around the 2004 facelift then when the revised rear lights and curvier front bumper was introduced? Probably looking at between 2001 and 2004 models if I can make myself part with my Bora.
