hi just wondering if 1 of you kind ppl can help me i have a mk 1 octavia and the wipers are playing up when i turn the engine on they start on there own and work for 4 seconds on any setting then just stop anywhere then stop for around 15 seconds and keep doing this unless i take the fuse out the fuse is fine but ive also tried to change the relay with my friends but then they just kept going and wouldn't stop but his relay is out of the sdi and mine is the tdi dont no if it makes a difference plz help its cracking me up

Hi i am having the same probs look at my post doc131246....

Just had this (10 months back). Pull the wiring block off the rear wiper motor. If that cures the problem at the front then replace the rear motor (£85 at main dealer.....unobtainable at breakers!)

Or put an ad in the wanted section a few octy owners have taken the rear wiper off their cars for the smooth look
