Reverse camera

Hi, nice mod!

About the reverce camera.. Where will you be installing it? Will you cut a hole on the rear bumper or inside the rear window?

I'm interested to hear your idea because I'm thinking for the same think!

I should be getting the rear handle type camera which are readily avail for vw touran/tiguan, but im not sure whether it fits skoda yeti though..have not really done any research abt it yet.

You want the camera that screws into the number plate light hole.

On the rear of the car you have a pair of them, the camera takes up a small place on one side of those holes, it still has space for a bulb too.

Is that a VW part?

Is that a VW part?

There are VW OEM parts out there for specific model, Tiguan for rear handle mounted camera, Golf for the emblem camera. As for retro fitting rear camera, there several ways, get a NTSC to RGB converter with a aftermarket rear camera that fits the rear liscense plate light. Kufatec IMA might be the best solution to integrate rear camera with additional video aux in.

The kufatec IMA should be the 2nd solution.

If we have this connecting slot, then we will just need to get the OEM camera with the connector and it will be integrated.

for Trajectory Parking Guide Lines, another box is required and it's not cheap. and not sure if it can be used for Skoda. I'm still on the research stage for that. :)

Now we just need to check if the back of our columbus have that connector. :)

There may be a small problem with that...

Unless you are prepared to cut a hole in the Yeti boot and then weld the bracketry for the rotating badge.

Would be an easy conversion on any Seat or VW though and a very neat solution.
