Bulb change guide

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

Picked up my my12 fabia today, Love it!!

How do I get in about the front and rear lights to change over to LED side lights and whiter xenon'ish front lights?

Cheers!

Peel back carpet (in the boot) each side that hides the rear light clusters.

Having small hands to remove front-light bulbs is a bonus, (but can be done), from the rear of each headlight housing.

Good luck.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Oopps!!! sorry this as reminded MK1 Fabia VRS. !!!!

Eh carpet in the boot? I thought (including the vrs) there is a plastic screw at the height of the taillights that if removed allows to remove the whole tail light.

What about the front lights? It looks pretty hard to get into the light housing. Certainly too tight for my hands to get in about.

Indicators were easy though. Silvertecs FTW!

If only there was a "like" button...

Now that you mention the boot. I cant get the plastic cover off the light to get it changed for an LED too. Any tips? Dont wanna try it to hard encase I break it. Only had the car a few hours.

Plastic clips...Theyre not very tight

Just pull the tailight you will not break anything - its been held by 3 pins that orient it properly to the rest of the body.

As for the headlight it is a tight spot and very annoying in my opinion. Get a pair of long pliers if you are having problems reaching the plug.fingers.

It's ridiculous to get these bulbs out, cant even get enough of a grasp on it to try and pry it out.
