thanks billy

have u packages up that bumper support for me

i have e mailed a few brakers bout the tt hubs does it matter what model of tt

steven

Front bumper beam is ready mate, thought you'd forgotten or found one closer.

Nope not really unless you just want to put them straight on?

I think you need 2wd ones. The ones I got were off a Quattro but I had a spare set of hubs so poped them on my car and used my original hubs with New OE bearings in the TT hub assemblies.

There are 2 types of drive shaft one uses a bolt to secure it and the other uses a nut(ours)

The old hubs are good to keep too and are brill for:

Pressing in new wishbone bushes

Pressing in new gearbox seals

Prob other things too but not got to them yet lol.

I would get the hubs first and see what needs swapping tbh don't be picky on the hubs as they not easy to get. Plus from a scrappy I was quoted 75+ each and I got mine for 50(both) + post.

New bearing kit were 28 each ish and to get them pressed cost me 60.

Deff worth it tho.

Na still want it just the mig in work.is away gettin repaired need it to modify it i will send payment then

I can press them myself in work priced up all the bushes today and antiroll bars n its a small fortue lol

I have fitted the whole package...

Wishbones,Rack,FARB etc from the Golf R32 and R32 Hubs(with VRS hub Flanges)

Don't go for the TT Quattro(4x4) hubs unless you intend swapping the hub flanges or your drive shafts. Like I did above

you need TT 2WD Hubs to allow your drive shafts to fit to the flanges that will take your wheels.

The S3,R32 and TT Quattro all use a different flange that takes the drive shaft with the bolt through the flange.

So although your wheels fit fit these flanges, not much point.

If you can't get 2WD TT then you can replace the flanges in the Hub from your VRS Hub using new bearings.

kk mate, ne probs.

Yes it is a small fortune. Well worth it. To save a bit on it tho I just got std bushes for now as they were £25 for the lot but the SuperPRO kit is £110+ and tbh, you dont need the SuperPRO kit straight away as the increase in performance is plenty for now and if your only driving it on the road you dont need them.

Think everyone did this all after me? A few had the TT wishbones but on only had std hubs which did make a difference, the 51 car I had had that setup. Someone on here mentioned the TT/R32/LCR/S3 Hubbs fit on so I got them and fitted them. Posted pics of the differenses.

If you have all the kit at work you need mate, get the new bearings and just get the cheapest TT ect hubs and mix n match like I did as I had spares from the other car so there was no real rush. same as you you can do it at work all in one go.

Wish Id known then what I know now, Id of just purchased a LCR instead of the other Octavia, that way Id of had the BAM engine and gearbox aswell as all the hubs n that n Id of just swapped the engines over and all the stuff with it.

Are you going the whole way?

ie:

Steering Rack (Quick Rack)

Tie Rods (TT ones are Fatter and slightly longer)

Tie Ends (Point Up not Down, Std ones can be used with std Tie Rods just swap sides)

Wishbones

Ball joints

Hubbs

Coilovers + LCR top mounts + Bearings

R32 23mm FARB + SuperPRO Bushes(£17)

Neuspeed 28mm RARB

Also you need

LSD

Short shifter

the LSD allows you to pull the car round, its unbeleivable how good it is and the B&M Shortshifter(or Ebay one) gives you the confidence in changing gears and removes much of the slop from the std shifter

all that with 210-230 bhp and 250+ lb ft is lots of fun.

Cast wishbones without castor correcting bushes are pointless tbh

The whole point of fitting the cast wishbones is that the superpro / whiteline castor correction bushes do not fit the pressed wishbones

Without the castor correction, you'll still have horrendous oversteer in the vehicle

Fitting the bushes later isn't a sensible way to do it, as it effectively means you have to change your wishbones twice.

If you're paying someone to fit, that's going to cost a few extra hundred quid

Are the TT Quattro, S3, R32 hubs the same as the Octavia 4x4 hubs?

Hi Billy have to disagree with you there buddy, my superpro castor bushes have made a huge difference to the way the car turns in.

I actually overtook a S3 the other day on the outside of a long curved slip road.

If you are going to pay for the conversion then go the whole way.

Think Luca(OET) was the first to do this mod and lots have followed since. But not many have changed to the TT hub which greatly improves the wishbone angle on lowered cars.

Agree with you 100%..

Don't think they are for some reason, although the Hub flanges are probably the same. (i.e bolt through drive shaft)

The TT ,LCR, R32 and S3 have the long Hubs which allow for the wishbone to sit a lot more horizontal.
