How do you clean a windscreen?

Featured Replies

Tried a few class cleaners in the, but I also found Autoglym fast glass the best. When window (outside) is completly clean try a coat of Rain X, it's the repellant stuff in a yellow bottle, effect is great and lasts quite a while.

As far as cloths go, I use simple kitchen towel for the cleaning and then give a quick wipe over with a microfibre cloth just to get rid of any bits/dust from the kitchen towel.

Also, just had my car professionally detailed and they also recommend Fast glass, if it's good enough for the experts.....!!

Fast Glass is excellent.

well i caved to peer pressure. A trip to halfords later and i have a bottle of fast glass (and some seat radio removal key and a sanding sponge but more on those elsewhere)

In the dwiddling twilight I must say i'm impressed. things look super clear from the inside and super reflective when polishing the outside.

True clarity test in tomorrow mornings sunshine or moisture test in the pouring rain.

Time shall tell

So far i reckon these AG guys know their stuff. They should do alright i reckon their products could catch on :D

AG Fast Glass with blue roll. Perfect combo.

AG Fast Glass with blue roll. Perfect combo.

exactly what i used.

Was massively impressed with the clarity in the sunshine of Saturady morning.

In fact it was that good even SWMBO (who I was collecting after a long haul flight and was pretty tired and confused) commented about how clean it was.

Steaming up test to come at a later date I guess.

However having done 200 miles since the clean though it's bug city again! Dammit summer!

I use autoglym fast glass with kitchen towel and I'm quite happy with it.

But I do notice that I still have the 'arc' of the windscreen wipers when cleaning - anyone managed to clean this or is it just a case of elbow grease?

My GF thinks that greasy hands are best for cleaning the windscreen.
