Brushed metal Octavia

Featured Replies

I saw this octavia whilst at a job last night. It has liked a brushed metal paint and carbon fibre roof and bonnet. It looked very nice in the flesh and these pictures dont do it justice. If anyone is in Mansfield its at Evans Halshaw on Oaktree Lane, parked near to the white clio 197 that is now two wheels lighter thanks to some thieving scum!

it would be ok if i was 10 years younger

Would look ok if it didnt have the black bonnet, but agree looks terrible as it is. Is it a matt silver finish?

The actual paint was like a brushed aluminium finish and not silver like you would buy from skoda. I personally wouldnt buy it but I like cars that are that bit different. I know a few american cars are done like this with the carbon roof and bonnet.

Not for me, the race blue on next car to the left is better

i can't understand this business of wrapping the roof less still the bonnet

who wants their Skoda to look like a 1970's morris marina?

The actual roof and bonnet were real carbon fibre, no vinyl wrapping insight

real carbon fibre roof? how have they managed that

Real carbon :D

It looks like it is a carbon cover that fits over the roof.

Awful....but that sprint yellow one...mmm

Ha ha, I'm hoping to pick this beauty up this weekend!

I didn't look to closely at the bonnet and roof I cant imagine it is real carbon fiber, the rest of the car is a complete vinyl wrap though in brushed/cut aluminium effect.

Not to everyone's taste I agree, I'm leaving a very plain VW Passat for it and thought why the hell not, can always remove the vinyl.

Got to say I'm impressed with this forum, very good! :-)

Make sure you post up some better quality pics than the ones in the link, but be interesting to see it in proper light.

Also hello.

Hi, thank you all for the warm welcome, Finally got round to getting some photos off my phone:

I have often thought of getting the roof done in black on my race blue, throw in black wheels and lowering it and I think it would look fairly tidy.

Any ideas on the cost of wrap just the roof?

edit: Welcome to the forum as well! :)

I wonder what condition of the silver paint is like under the vinyl.

So when's the vinyl coming off? :D

Also has a rather odd section of the rear bumper centre section wrapped? Would have thought if they were going with that approach, they would have done the rear spoiler too....

So when's the vinyl coming off? :D

+1 for me, looks dreadful. Ok if you live on a council estate and called Kevin :giggle:

Sorry for the late reply, I have no idea how much just to do the roof, the guy who sold me the car said that the previous owner spent nearly £2k on the whole job!

I will have to take it off at a later date so it doesn't damage the paint, and yes I do worry what it is like underneath!
