Car now built...

Featured Replies

So finally its been built, I recieved email yesterday with chassis number and confirmation of build. She said it could take 2-3 weeks till arriving at dealer, but could be sooner...

What is the usual times that you lot have been getting recently at the point I am now at??

Does it stay on the ship for ages or is it more or less overnight??

If my geography serves me correctly, Sennelager is in Germany, so I think it will be sooner as it might not have to be loaded onto a ship.

It may come via car transporter to your local dealership. emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

Na mate,

to get a UK spec rhd, I pick up from UK. Have a look at what skoda.de charge for the equivalent model!!!

I am in the Army and we get them at a VERY good price!!

I recieved another email today, the car is now at the port in UK, ETA for pick up end of next week.

Not bad considering the build week was supposed to be 28, if it is ready then, that is a 3 month wait from order to picking it up :D

KOOOOOL, you're getting excited then???? emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

And I WAS right, Sennelager IS in Germany, I've checked in my atlas. emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Enjoy the new car John, glad to hear their turning orders round for the 110 that bit quicker :)

Regards,

TP

I've just picked up my 2.0 110 2WD which was built w/c June 6th, so it's taken about 5 weeks: via train form the factory to Emden, ship to UK, Customs, delivery to dealer, PDI and towbar fitment.

What was also particularly good was the fact I only ordered the car in early April. I wasn't expecting it until at least September from what people here and the dealers had been saying.

Picked up my car on Monday from motorline skoda in Canterbury, it was a lovely sunny day and the muscovado really suited it, my first impressions are very good, I found it very quiet ( my first diesel!) with no squeaks or rattles. Drove back to Germany that night and apart from being knackered, really enjoyed the journey. Now done over 500 miles and its needing a refuel!!

Thanks for all the advice recieved so far!

Hi John,

pleased to hear you have collected your new Yeti at last and your pleased with it :)

Did you get the 16's as promised :wonder:

TP, after all the emails, I ended up with 17s because skoda uk told me that as the order had been taken with 17s it was to stay with them!

However I am still enjoying my car !!

Ordered myself rubber mats from my german skoda garage, got them today, on fitting them I discovered that they are for LHD vehicles!! arrgh!

So anyone know where to get front two rubber mats RHD!! stick with skoda or go aftermarket?

Hi John,

that's a shame :( although they were telling you fibs again :S Originally oredered mine with optional Anna's as I totally dislike the Spitzburg's design. Got my order amended two months after placing it for the Moons.

Regard mats there are a number of UK Skoda dealers offering an on-line ordering service;
