n75 valve j

Featured Replies

hi all

just found my n75 is faulty as car been running bad not holding boost and dv dumping when it shouldnt!! have heard a few people using n75 J as holds better boost, but has anyone had probs with car over boosting and going into limp!! just would like to know before i buy!! my car already been chipped just be nice to have something to make it run better with abit more go!!

also where best place to buy standard or j

cheers

Stick with the standard one. Any dealer or TPS will be cheaper.

I had loads of trouble with a mapped mkiv Golf when running a J valve. It would go into limp with EPC light on & no throttle pedal. J valve seems to be ok on throttle cable VAG 1.8T's, but some mapped DBW 1.8T's don't seem to like it. My advice is stick to the standard valve.

I have the ECS race N75 in mine think it is a N75H. I changed to this to try to help the boost spiking, which it cleared up 100% on mine. I also fitted a stiffer Forge DV spring(yellow one)

got a j on mine, never had any issues.

Personally I would stick with the stock valve.

All the J does it ramp up the boost a little bit and can cause the car to over boost and hit limp mode... no only that you are increasing the boost and not doing anything with the fuel, I know they do adapt a little but even still.

You may find that on most cheap maps out there that this will work fine, mostly becuase the range for over and under boosting is increased so it does not see the problem.

Keep stock! nice and safe!
