front arb replacement

Featured Replies

my front arb is shot !!! well rusted where it goes through the bush so i'm going to replace it soon, just wondering how difficult it is to change and what parts i need to do the job

You have to drop the back end of the subframe down in order to replace the FARB, which makes it a bit more involved. But it's just spanner work so nothing hard. You'll need to torque the subframe back up though afterwards, and maybe replace all the bolts if they are stretch bolts. Mark the subframe up in relation to the body, to make sure it goes back in the same place. Then you'll want to get the wheel alignment checked afterwards, just to be sure.

Oh and you need to unbolt the steering rack from the subframe in order to drop it down too.

I want to replace mine soon too actually.
