anyone know what the metal terminals are called inside the ECU block under the wiper motor ??

i know the pic is cr@p but its the best that came out considering the size of the terminal

They are called crimp terminals.

You can also get repair wires, which are 1m lengths of wire with a terminal crimped to each end. You can cut these in half to make two. The other end can then be spliced into the loom.

Nice one.. thank u. u might have guesses but i put the terminals in the wrong number in the block and the buggers would not come back out so had to cut them

The ECU block should have spare terminals in them that are'nt used. I did when i was fitting my cruise control.

They are a pain to get out as you need a very small thin extractor tool or watch screwdriver.

Did you pull back the purple plastic retainer as this sits on the shoulder of the terminals to prevent them being pushed out. lucky I checked the install guide to find this out.

yep i did and i pushed pins in the holes to try release it but it was stuck

whats the release tool called ?

also, iv got no spare so still tryin to locate a supplier for the terminals

that tool looks correct in the ad.

would of made my job easier when i did mine.

strange you did not have any blank pins i had a around 7 blanks that i could use. Maybe as yours is a diesel.

I kno.. what inconsiderate sod gave it such an appropriate name lol. if only id have thought 1st b4 searching through 8 pages of listings

gutted... needle in a haystack at the min as there are millions of different types of crimp connectors

Maybe you might find it easier to cut out the wires from a ecu loom in a breakers yard.
