How many Yetis out there?

Back to the Yeti: But why were 39 SORNed during Q1 2011? I can imagine one or two as 'write-offs' awaiting long-term scrapping or restitution and maybe a few owners had died and their estate was awaiting probate etc. But 39/6000?

Edit: Hmm, do any dealers SORN vehicles before selling them? Ah, perhaps these are used ones and the dealers cash in the tax disc and SORN the vehicle pending resale?
