Ceramic brake pads?

Featured Replies

I find the amount of brake dust enormous, and is checking out the possibility to add ceramic brake pads instead. Didnt find one to my spesific car, a 2012 2wd 140hp diesel. Did find this though: My link. Will it fit or is it that many different calipers for the superb? Finding that hard to believe.

Do not even think about ceramic brake pads... When i Owned RS4 i done this to my car and they were creaking like crazy it was impossible to drive all people from other cars on street were staring at me when I push brake peddle ! And another thing is they will eat your brake disc and it will be more costly then brake pads !

Only good thing that car was braking twice better then before, but any way I remuved them after two days and went beck to stock brakes

A good alloy wheel sealer could be a lot cheeper, the dust just washes off then.

I have always used EBC greenstuff pads on previous cars i have owned found them to have excellent performance , last a little bit longer and considerably less brake dust .

When my current standard pads wear out i will be sourcing myself a set :p

I wouldn't touch the greens, but I hear good things about the yellow and highly rate the reds on a PD140 octy myself.

Yes you can get better still, but for the price they are excellent and they work well (read better than OEM) hot and cold.

Agree with the "avoid the greens" comment. they have quiet a bad reputation on both the Octy MK1 and MK2, the Superb is an even heavier car. Look at the yellows and Reds if you want EBC pads.
