Clean car day

Featured Replies

Fitted my AP coilies a while ago now and have only just found the time to give it a proper wash and polish, including wheel removal and protection.

C & C welcome :)

Thanks mate. When I first got it home about 18 months ago, I was on the web every night looking for replacement wheels as I hated the originals. Now that it's lowered however, I've really come to like them and can only think of a handful of wheels that would suit it as much as the originals do.

No other plans for is as yet (well, maybe a couple of minor ones), but apart from that, it's just a case of looking after it and keeping it looking fresh :) Oil and filter change this weekend!!

I like what you've done with the badges. Was that Vinyl wrap?

Being Black it's not going to stay that clean looking for long.

I love those Carbon badges though.

Well, this one appears to be a clone of my pride and joy, even down to the coilovers and ride height!

My Furbie is also black and I'm always being complimented on how great she looks - they're not THAT bad to keep looking smart, a once a week tidy up is all she needs, just like any other car really

Agree with you there mate.

I decided to refurb my original wheels rather than get different ones in the end.

Should get them back next week. They will be a different colour mind you. B)

It's just vinyl wrap cut out to fit into the VRS recess part of the badge. The outer chrome margin was left as it was. I thought it'd look good, so gave it a go, and I'm really pleased with the results!

Thanks for the good comments. I'll post pictures of my minor modifications if/when they get done!

Does look good.

Did the same thing with mine for a while. But I used ordinary black insulating tape.

In the end I took it off, rubbed it down until the chrome was gone and sprayed it

black with some Plasti Cote.

I like the carbon idea on the badges. I've got a load of that stuff from when I was going to do some interior bits on my old Renaultsport 172.

Has anyone tried doing anything with the vent surrounds on the vRS? I'm thinking they could look good carbon.

Interior vents? Heaters? Or the vents on the sides of the bumpers?
