03 fabia battery flat, now radio won't switch on

Featured Replies

my wife's 03 fabia's battery ran flat last week (parking light left on for 3 days). now, although the car starts and runs perfectly, the radio won't even switch on. any suggestions?

It may sound obvious, but have you checked the fuse? If the fuse is fine, I would get the radio out and check that the connections are secure.

If it displays things on the screen you probably need the key code. This is either on a card, or in a sticker in the stereo manual - from when the car was purchased. If you no longer have these it may be possible to get the code from a dealer.

okay, there's no display on the screen and swapping the fuse doesn't make any difference.

Have you checked the fuses in the fusebox as well as the one behind the stereo?
