Our Long Awaited Delivery...

Featured Replies

We took delivery of the Yeti a couple of weeks ago and apart from a couple of wee niggles have been suitably impressed. It is everything we had hoped it would be and more. It really is very well put together and definitely gives the feel of a premium car.

Congratulations!

Very pretty.

I still think the wheels on the SE suit the car best

I think so as well although am obviously biased  . Although I would have been tempted to add the Spitzberg Alloys to the options list if they had been offered as an option on standard SE and not just the SE+.

Just got mine this week too. A red monster and I'll post some pics soon.

I had a BMW 120D before and the Yeti is slower, noiser, doesn't handle as well and is less economical!

But in all seriousness, so far it is living up to or exceeding all the expectations I had of it.

A 1,2 petrol Yeti that is noisier than a 120d diesel BMW?!!?!? Eh?! Or did you not get the Yeti your signature claims?

The body/chassis of a Yeti compared to a BMW1. Not hard to see why it is heavier, noisier or less aerodynamic. Hell even mine glugs more fuel than my VRS with the same engine. But I love it.

I may be biased but, in my view, white is the best colour for a Yeti :)

+1

Must admit the Yeti in white is starting to grow on me.

Yep - WHITE shows it off best, I believe. the contrast between piano black bits and the white, with the chrome still shining through.

I do think the strong lines of the Yeti suits light and bold solid colours. If they had offered it in bright orange which only some cars can carry off (BMW 2002/ VW Beetle etc.) I would have been strongly tempted.

Yowzer!!!!!!! That is a bit safety high viz jacket orange!!!!! Won't lose that anywhere! I'd prefer it in the new copper colour:

Strong, different yet classy.

That's cool - can you also Photshop it in HiViz Yellow for me ?

Anyway - white is great, but I do like comparing it to others and muscavado is my current "best alternative" (I like metallics !),

I think there has been a rush on in the factory as I got a phone call yesterday to say my White Yeti had arrived and will be ready to collect next week! I am going from an Audi A4 Avant B8 (new shape)to the Yeti and am getting some stick from badge snobs I work with, hopefully when they see it and have a drive the Yeti will shut them up.

Tell the Audi drivers they are all just a bunch of sheep - buying a yeti makes financial and technological sense

I will don't you worry! Another reason for buying a Yeti is I photograph historic rallying and in the last two years I have had the Audi stuck a few times! So my 170tdi Elegance should resolve this issue ;)

Wow! That orange is a bit high Viz. I think my monitor at work might need calibrated! Anyhow here is a yellow yeti and baby blue and a bright metallic green...

Wow - nice green !

Build your own palette - take note Skoda

Well my post was obviously slightly tongue in cheek as it is daft to compare the 2 cars, but yes the Yeti is noisier in all aspects when you are actually driving - wind, road and engine noise. The V5 would appear to confirm it is marginally noiser from the outside too (which does surprise me).

None of this should detract from what is a very capable and refined car, and whilst its not exactly fast, that 1.2 engine produces an amazing amount of torque for its size!

:giggle: Ah ok. Noise when on the move... since the 1,2 is basically dead quiet without any vibration to be felt when running at idle. Weird when you come from a diesel. I was surprised when at a test drive in a 1,2 the sales lady just took off when none of us realised the car was already running! But at speed the aerodynamics between the two cars and the far better noise insulation undoubtedly used in the BMW will make a difference I bet.

Now I would definitely have one in that colour green.
