I need to change the rear discs/pads on swmbo's Golf, I'm only looking at OE quality or slightly better. Apparently I need 255mm solid discs which I pressume would be the same as the PD140 Octavia?

During my search I found these. I have had mintex pads in the past but wondered if members have any opinions, they seem a good price for the kit and I will fit myself, but are they as good as OE?

The other alternative is EBC discs fitted with these pads, obviously a more expensive combination but definitely OE quality......

Just had an email from the seller of these discs and pads - They claim they're are Bosch, which are good as OE.........but they seem very cheap though!

Just for your info, ive found the following (if yours are 255mm)

Rear Pads:

101440328 - £16.49 (£12.37 after the forum discount)

Rear Disc

104441258 - £29.40ea (£22.05ea after discount)

Thats £56 all in for the rear set in Pagid Brand (OE Quality [i think that Textar/Pagid are OE on the Golf 5 anyway]

If you wanted to go for Eicher which is our cheaper aftermarket quality it would be £8.99 for the pads and £25.71 for the rear discs [£34.70 for the rear set]

The Pagids are £20 more than on eBay (even with your forum discount) but you wont have any issues or worries with the quality

Thats a big help thanks, I'm justing waiting on a price from my mechanic but I don't think he will beat yours. If I want them, whats the best way to order? And what would be the delivery charge?
