Is there any VCDS coding changes available to open the folding mirrors with opening of the drivers door ??

At present they open out on putting the key in the ignition !!

Any help !

No one with folding mirrors and VCDS ?

I have folding mirrors and VCDS, but haven't search for it. I think it's good to have them unfold when activating the ignition.

This has been thoroughly investigated amongst many others of the VAG range unsuccessfully...

I saw someone managed to achieve this through an external module/relay, so far no luck with just coding.

Unfolding of the mirrors by opening the drivers door is NOT possible with coding changes ...!

The only way it is possible is by updating the driver side door module to a module from late 2010 or 2011 car model.!

That's really weird ... All cars that I have seem till now

2011 models

All have had this feature

I have driven 5 different Superb 2010-2011 and none of them unfold when just opening the door. All Swedish on the other hand...

No superbs out here have that feature too..!

But all post dec 2010 octavias have unfolding with opening of drivers door ..!!

Neither do mine.

They only unfold when ignition is on (KESSY). Yes it's a Superb -11.

IIRC later Leons can be coded to unfold the mirrors with the remote, but my 2006 can't, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Octy was the same.

Ya there's no option in VCDS for the octy .!

Maybe in VAS but can't confirm..!!

It's a nice feature to have since the puddle lights only work with the mirrors in the unfolded position....
