VAG COM

Featured Replies

just a quick question how much for a vag com and where to buy one?

Direct from Ross-Tech, or Gendan are an official UK distributor. Cost is around £250-300, depending on version (plus exchange rate if you're buying from Ross-Tech themselves).

Or there's one currently for sale in the Classifieds here:

Can anyone tell me what extras can be switched on on my vrs using vagcom??

selective unlocking, chirps on alarm, anti-hijack, change alarm tone to Europe or Rest of World + more.

Worth a browse in the vag-com forum as this info should be there really.

IF you don't need the all singing & dancing VAGCOM, you could always start out with a £20 cable...

and a free copy of VCDS lite.

I paid $99 for the VCDS Lite registration, which unlocks some extra features.

So far I've done the selective unlocking, anti-hijack, throttle body adaptation, cleared a few fault codes and taken some logs.

Then I got told off by the Mrs for being a 'geek' and was made to go clothes shopping with her as punishment

I feel ur pain!! I gotta go cloths shopping tonight :-(
