could someone point me in the right direction i have fitted at the moment a mfd2 and i wish to upgrade to a newer one is there anything that needs changing or is it just a matter of taking out the old one and replacing it with a newer one like the 510 or could anyone tell me with one would be suitable the car is octavia 2.0 tdi elegance 2005 model many thanks martin

You can swap a MFD2 for a Columbus without any coding changes

BUT

you will need a dual fakra antenna adapter (get them from carsystems.pl on ebay)

AND

you will need an upgraded CAN Gateway and someone with VCDS to code this in - I am assuming your car is around a 55 plate if it has a MFD2 as standard.

Then you can send me the MFD2 and I will give it a good home in her indoors MK1 superb

Form my experience of the MFD2 before I got rid, it will be fine as long as you don't want to go anywhere.....

The sound quality left a bit to be desired as well.

You need an MFD1 for the MK1 superb, the MFD2 will not fit.

Replaced the stream in my 2008 Scout with an MFD3 and had to do nothing but plug it in, it just worked :-)

In a 2008 you will be fine without a CAN Gateway change.

Have you got Maxidot? If so, do the Navigation instructions show in it? If you don't code the car for having had Navigation fitted they won't show.

Just shows not all are sleeping LOL

Manny If I get the MFD1 for hid can you add 7 digit post codes???
