Ok, I collected my Yeti today after a long wait, all was going well until I started playing with all the bells and whistles.

Question 1, why do all my windows work automatically on one press of the button but not the drivers window? It doesn't work when the key fob is held open or locked?

2, I get an error message on the dash display about deadlocks see handbook, I have looked in the hand book but can find nothing.

Apart from that I am as happy as a pig in s4!t

You need to reset the drivers window. Using the switch on the hour hold it up of a minute or so, (see page 49 of manual)

The safe secure locking is a pain and we haven't yet found out where it is in VAG Com so we can turn it off. All Yeti suffer from it. Quirk of car (pet hate actually)

Thanks for the prompt response, I have been and read through the owners manual, the information was on page 45 so i am guessing the owners manual has been updated as this Yeti is a MY12 if that means anything to you guys.

Mike, I've not got the safe secure thing on my yeti? Not seen anything like that and don't get the error messages.

It's not an error message. The Maxidot just says check secure locking in owners manual.

I've always ignored that on the basis that the owners manual is more confusing than helpful.

And I'm very glad mine mysteriously does NOT do it. Hope I still have a car come tomorrow morning with the way things are going in London...

Well since collecting the Yeti on Saturday it has covered 750 miles! Drives well, slightly different to the Audi I had before but on the whole a very civilised place to be.

My windows are all sorted and tomorrow I am nipping back to Mitchells and they will correct the Deadlock warning for me.

I have never had a car so many front lights that do things other than illuminate the way ahead. They turn and others come on when the indicator is switched on, these are all things I never knew I couldn't ;ive without before the Yeti arrived I even got flashed at by a black Yeti and a silver blue one on the A6 yesterday, it is like owning a LandRover again.
