1.4TSI 1/4 mile leaderboard

'Back wheels'  will be a typo i think.

Not much power being delivered to them.

No idea about Octavias or interest in them really,

plenty of fast Taxis around on the Autobahn.

It is good that the vRS Twinchargers can better 2.0l Turbo Petrols like the Octavia vRS off the line.

Even Golfs with 100 more BHP.

As to getting off the line as some found foot on brake and then throttle was slower than Hand Brake off and throttle.

As to the Estate being better, that might be Official Figures again, and not the actual situation.

It was good to get a Nosey under the bonnet of the Speed Record Octavias bonnet at Santa Po.

The 60fts are good best I can get is 2.4 normally 2.5secs, although I'm a mk1 manual

That's on 'runway' budget tyres too. I'll no doubt go again when I've got some better rubber!

Be interesting to know an updated version of this leaderboard. The 1.4tsi has come a long way since the last post.

Personally my fastest time is a 12.02, had some upgrades since that but not been on a strip since.

@Th3Grinch Nice to hear from you.  It would be nice to hear what your upgrades are now.
