Dreary Interior?

Featured Replies

I am about to order a VRs estate in sprint yellow.

My only quibble with the car is that the interior is dull, grey and not very exciting. Even the seat fabrics are none too exciting.

Has anyone done anything to brighten things up a bit? Any pics?

Umm..yeah. Helpful. :wonder:

It's not that bad I think.

Better than the previous fabia by far, as that was one large piece of black plastic. This one has lots of different lines and such which break it up and make it look more interesting.

I have changed the interior lights on mines to green to match the paint outside. You can change the fan covers to whatever colour you want, take them off, bit of a sand and a spray paint can.

have the seats recovered in leather by seat surgeons in york

I like the interior personally...

Wonder if there are dashboard kits for the ordinary Fab 2 that would fit the vRS??

It puzzles me that leather is an option on other fabias but not the VRs.

It is something I am considering but have seen a few recovers that look less than wonderful. Also considering a change of seats to Recaros or such.

Should do, dash is pretty much identical as far as I can see.

I'm suprised that nobody has mentioned California Scents in response to that 'magic tree' swearing!

Why not try some carbon fibre wrap?

I thought about leathering it up but the cost is a bit much at the moment

I had heard and I maybe wrong that seat surgeons will do a full leather interior for around £500 which I didn't think was too bad myself.

£500!! **Breaks out credit card**

It could do with a flash of colour somewhere. I have a sun roof and red material on the seats and agree its Dark, but maybe dreary is not the word i would use.

Wait till you find yourself driving it in the dark then you'll be glad of the dark interior.

The intreior is not dreary all it needs is a bit of colour  my old octy 2 vRS had a black intreior with some silver trim and it looked good

I find the dash lights distracting at night, they're a bit bright and I cant seem to dim them down.

Perfect choice id have had the same

You upgraded your headlights yet or not?

I don't have many lights on the dash to be quite honest and It's alot better than other car's ive been in with white dials :peek: that was not fun to drive in the dark light the drive up something horendous

Order the seats with the red flecks in them. Brightens up the interior no end. Much better than the standard grey IMHO.

The interior is a bit sober, but I think it suits the car nicely. Leave Seat to have the slightly quirkier styling cues and let VW & Audi have the more up-market and classier styles.
