Octavia Ambiente MP3 connection?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I currently have a 2005 Octavia Ambiente, and I'd like to have an MP3 connection for it. I don't want to go for an aftermarket stereo as I think I'd loose functionality of the MFSW that the original owner specified.

It currently has a CD Autochanger, is there any options for me to use the interface from this? As far as I am aware the unit in the car is a Stream unit, its not even the Stream MP3 as it won't play MP3 cds.

Yup, you just need to pick up a Connects2 adapter, this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skoda-Octavia-2005-Aux-Input-Adaptor-CTVSKX003-/270651182531?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f04114dc3

which does exactly as you describe and hijacks the cd-changer socket.

Pretty straight-forward to fit, if you search through this forum area for Connects2 you'll find plenty of similar threads.

Also quite a few pics of the install in my Flickr stream here:
