Tints on a red Octavia vrs

Featured Replies

Just about to pick up my Octavia vrs tomorrow and can't make up my mind to get the rear doors and rear screen tinted or not. I was thinking of going dark smoke (one up from limo) My car is red but do you think that the combination of red and dark tints will look OK? I have done a photoshop (not sure how to add picture, sorry) and think it does work together but just need a second opinion,

I would go for a mid tint, something like a charcoal myself. But I'm sure other opinions will differ....

I have a mid tint on mine and it looks great (2 up from a limo tint - Limo 5% and i think mine is 25%).

I have got pics on my memory card, i will upload some tomorrow for you to see. There aren't many photos about of red ones, i know as i was umming and arring for ages on whether to get them and what level to go for!

You're right, I have not been able to find hardly any pictures to see what it will look like so any you have I would be keen to see. I believe the dark smoke is 20% and light smoke 35%. I guess it would be best to have something in the middle ie about 25-30% but I think the dark smoke is closer to what I was looking for

Yeah mine is 25 or 30%, i can't remember! got a couple of not very good ones on phone which i'll quickly upload for you.

Here you go (have better ones on my DSLR):

Side on they look fairly dark and you can only just see through them. I am very happy with them

Get this:

Thanks for photos, your car looks perfect with those tints, I believe the tint company do use LLumar film which I understand is good

Good photos there, and a decent selection - especially with a rear 3/4 view. Gives a more realistic feel for the tint level, rather than completely side on.

Thanks matey....Very diffcult to get a reflection of how they look in real life. Just need to get my gti international pics off my camera and see how these turned out.

Just that most are taken directly side on, so you get the effect of the light not coming through from the other side of the car either, so the tints then appear to be darker than they are in real life :)
