i think i have placed this in the wrong place can it be moved ????

If the mods haven't already moved it, then this is the right place. Regarding the brakes iirc the RS4 fronts are 2 piece 365mm jobbies which you may have issues with fitting behind 18" wheels, other than that they should be fine.

Just something to consider if you go for these, when you need to replace pads and discs the prices are astronomical!

cheers yeah just looked at prices and yeah just a little bit expensive lol

what would be the best brakes to buy then as im looking to up grade

Easiest way is to upgrade to the S3/R32/Cupra 345mm brakes, unless you drive a 1980's Lotus F1 diesel hearse. In which case you may need an extra 5mm to stop or an anchor

I personally think the standard brakes on the VRS are more than suitable for 'enthusiastic' road driving.

Unless you're wanting to track the car, I wouldn't replace them.

However, that said, brakes are rather important and if the money is burning a hole in your pocket, then go for the RS4 brakes.

I wanted to change the brakes ASAP but having got the Brembo Discs and Mintex pads the 312mm is adequate enough even on track ;)

VR55BLU - If you don't end up having them I will. Let me know. :)

Nice try, but not convinced about that. I think the standard RS4 brakes fit fine under most 18s. Think it's on the ceramic option ones that you definitely need 19s for.

I hope your wrong.....only to benefit me of course!
