Morning all.

I've just got hold of a second set of alloys to put my winter tyres on but i need the existing tyres removing, winters on etc.

I had a heck of a job last year trying to find a tyre place that was willing to fit my own tyres for me.

Ideally it'd even be handy to have a man in a van come out to me at home and sort it on my driveway, just so i dont have to chuck 4 dirty tyres in the car.

Anyone else had similar issues, or know of a nationwide, or even local to Tunbridge Wells(ish) company that might be happy to undertake such a task??

p.s... i can hear the cries from people telling me i should have got them on steelies, but there is a long story involving a trip to germany in the snow, and a lot of out of stock tyre places cos all the efficient german people had already snapped them up so they could comply with their law that i didnt know about!

Many places will fit a customer's own tyres to wheels, whether on or off the car. Best to phone around and ask how much to do it. I'd expect somewhere in the region of £12-£16 per wheel, including balancing and disposal of the old carcase.

I'd have thought a mobile fitter wouldn't be interested. When you go to a tyre fitters, off the car is sometimes easier as they don't need to clutter up one of their bays with your car.
