Will VRS bumper fit the MK1 Octavia Estate 4x4?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if this would fit? I can't see why it wouldn't and I really like the look of the vrs front so was thinking of removing the old bumper and replacing it with a VRS one- mines an Ocyavia Elegance 4x4 18T Estate. Also are there any roof spoilers available? nothing too wild.

The vRS front bumper should fit any post-facelift car. Also, there's a rear spoiler with built-in brake light for the vRS estate.

Vrs front bumper bolts straight onto the standard mounts and wheel arch liners. Being a 4x4, try find one with headlamp cutouts. The standard 4x4 black trim insert fits straight in. Don't be put off if grills are not included as a full set is about 40 quid unpainted, new. Some pics of mine on my sig linky ...

Great to see yours that's exactly how I want mine, do you have a parts No for the roof spoiler? The ones I've found state hatch only. I was thinking about the headlamp washers and if it would be a problem, will have a look out for one with. Have you spaced at all or lowered as these are two areas I am considering.

Part number for rear spoiler is 1U9 827 939 GRU. The front bumper I bought didn't have holes for the headlamp washers in but it is easy to add them, just measure up carefully before drilling them.

I have lowered it, had H&R springs at first but found them too low and hard for my liking so now have OEM VW Golf 4motion estate sport springs and dampers.

Cool, boy am I glad I talked to you, sadly I know nothing about Skoda as this is my first, but touch wood, two years and not a sausage, urm, unlike the Golf Gti, actually, NINE Golf GTi's over the years!! :doh:

Only thing is.....Where am I likely to find four V6 Springs and dampers??? I'm looking on ebay but no luck

I bought them new from VW as the Golf 4motion estate was never sold in the UK. There is another 4x4 owner who has / was going to fit R32 suspension but can't remember who.

karlbar2k iirc

Its easy to cut hole in a vRS bumper for the washer jets. They're held on by a simple circlip.

Cool, will get pricing. The staff on the parts team at VW must hate me, I've been ordering all sorts on weird stuff for different cars for years! :D

Sorry to be a pain but do you have a parts No? Only it will make things way easier - cheers :thumbup:

posted this link before - bit out of date but very useful parts ref. Nothing about a boot spoiler for the estate though.

Hi Simon, I've been over to our mkiv friends and have yielded these results V6 thread just a few more questions, how much drop would you say you achieved? I really don't want too much, something like 10-20mm drop would be good, 35mm too much for what I want. Also did you keep any of the VW print-offs to check if our serial No's add up? Just out of curiosity, do yo have any images of your car before and after? Cheers BL

I would say my car's ride height is probably about 10mm higher than a standard vRS which I am happy with. Not sure how much lower it would be if you fitted R32 shocks and springs though.

The parts I bought new are;

Front shock absorber (1J0 413 031 EA), front coil spring (1J0 411 105 CE), front anti-roll bar (1J0 411 305 AE), rubber mounting for anti-roll bar (1J0 411 314 AC), bump stop (1J0 412 303) and for the rear, shock absorber (1J0 512 011 BT), coil spring (1J9 511 115 H), rear anti-roll bar (1J9 511 409 E), drop links (1J0 505 466 B ). The anti-roll bars are 1mm thicker than the standard 4x4 bars but you could fit R32 ones again.

You will also need to get some rear track control arms from an R32 otherwise your rear tyres will wear on the outer edges. I bought second hand ones, partnumber 1J0 505 323 L.

There is also a spacer piece at the top of the front shock absorber as standard on the 4x4, I removed this part.

Don't have a before pic but have one which I took recently on my phone;
