04 vrs. no hot air

Featured Replies

hi all. wonder if you could help. i have no hot air coming from my heater. it started with only a little bit of hot air but now i have none!!! am i right in believing there is some sort of heater control flap? i have hot coolant pipes going to the matrix and i have hot rad and hoses after a considerable drive. if so where on earth do i find it and how do i repair/replace it/

many thanks tom-vrs

First thing to try is an adaption of the flap motor with VCDS/VAGCOM, if you don't have VCDS check out the site map of VCDS owners. If that fails you need a new flap motor and then adaption. Not an easy job as half the dash has to come out.

Depends on skill level of DIY mechanic, but allow 6 hours for a first time. Access is horrible, and you are working upside down half the time. Have first aid handy, swear box will be full at the end.

This manual will help, it's the full Skoda workshop manual for heating and aircon.
