Hello everyone,

My name is Troy and I bought a Skoda Octavia vRS on a '53' registration about two weeks ago and just joined up as a member today.

I've been on various other car/club forums and this one seems to be better mannered than the ones I've been on in the past.

I'm in Southampton,Hampshire.

First impressions of the 'Octy' are very good.I'm very impressed with the performance,especially on the motorway.

I was one of the kids that grew up in the generation of the Skoda jokes about the hand warmers,etc and never thought about buying a Skoda when I was younger.

All that changed since the VW group took over at Skoda(and Seat,of course).It has vastly improved the Skoda brand no end.

The build quality of my Skoda is excellent.Reminds me of my old mk2 Golf GTI,when I first purchased it.

Very spacious interior and a HUGE boot!

A very refreshing change after owning several Japanese cars in the last 15 years...

I look forward to some,hopefully trouble-free motoring.I will of course,come on here for any advice,information and any problems that I'll encounter.
