Thinking about getting a white vinyl roof and white alloys, anyone have pictures of somthing similar?

I`v considered it, but after seeing a MK2 with the same decided it would look crappy tbh.

Didn't do the alloys (mainly as I've only just read the last post! ) but how are these? Hope Mike doesn't mind me using his car, if you do - just say and I'll remove them.

If you want more done, post up an image and I'll give it a go.

Personally I'm not keen on white on a black car. However I do think a White car with a black (or Carbon) roof looks very cool.

Here is a black Mk2 with white roof. It belongs to a member named Blackandwhite.

I don't think its worth the hassle and don't forget the insurance, they seem to be a stickler for fine detail as we found out

The mk1 isnt really suited well to the white roof because the roof design is different, you can see the top of the door meets the roof whereas on the mk1 you still have a black beam there and it doesn't look right.

They obviously designed the white roof to be a feature on the mk2 and was advertised that way. Clearly it just doesn't work on the mk1 does it ? Just looks like its thinning on top lol

I thought that vinyl wrapping would be easy but sadly its a right pain. If I'd planned more I'd have removed the bee sting aerial as this would have been essential.

In the end I caved in and we rolled it back so I managed to keep most of the material intact and I just cut centre vinyl strips instead which were much easier to do, so the car ended up looking more like a fiesta st or whatever and so not quite as bad as I thought, but certainly never what I intended.

I used a white carbon

Painting isnt cheap either

Lots of Octys are used as taxis here and abroad in black and white.

Better off IMO going for a more suble effect or something more wacky. Either way, not limited to just the roof.
