I think i like it

First impressions- F**k the brakes are ferocious, not at all progressive but hopefully will improve with use, that and the noise when cold obviously!. Everything else is spot on.

Build quality is a quantum leap ahead of my Clio likewise the ride that soaks up bumps

Which would have had the Clio like a Kangaroo in the mating season, driving position! Better than any car I have been in period

Glad you like it

Happy 1st of March 05 driver :D

Yep the brakes are a bit on / off at times. You get used to it though. Glad you like it x 3 :D

The brakes come in one big whack just like the motor

Sounds like the've fixed the problem a little... or just pored coke over the disks

got mine today and thought the brakes were quite progressive!? hope they are ok!! They are a lot less on off than my brothers, maybe just need bedding in?

I think it depends what you're used to. In my opinion the brakes are powerful but progressive. Anyone who's come from anything relatively warm will probably be used to them within 2 minutes of getting in the car - it's an excess of pedal travel that you're expecting, and it's not there. If you've come from something a bit more sensible you'll probably not like the fact that there's very little pedal travel.

Like everything else, it's a learning curve until it's learned!

Hmmmm - not sure I'd agree with you there. I came from a Scooby (relatively warm ;)) and a Disco (stone cold!) and both had much better, more progressive brakes with greater pedal travel than the Fabia. :D

My previous cars were a Clio 172 and a 206 gti, both had better brakes, I just hope they will improve with age.

Even if they don't the Fabia is still a better car, one odd thing is I was doing 90 on a motorway today and the needle was way round the dial where 130 would be in the Clio! just looks strange when you glance at the dials.

Had my first cold morning start...Jesus its noisy! Does it get quieter with more miles on?

For a rattly old diesel, please take a bow The Landrover Defender TDI. Now that is agricultural. I have driven it with work and on the motorway attending an incident on the wet, put it this way, keep well out of the way! Bambi on ice, albeit 2 tons worth of wrecking machine. Not my most favourite vehicle in the world.

You want clattery, eastern European stlyee, try driving a 13 litre V10 Russian Army tank delivery lorry. Great fun, but you need ear plugs and a gas mask!

Enjoying my 05 Furby VRs, hope all the other March delivery Class are aswell!
