FABIA vrs dmf

Hi

I will be changing my clutch and flywheel soon.

Does it matter what make, ie Sachs or luk I use as long as I change the whole lot of the same make.

I bought a Sachs presure plate and clutch plate so am i right in saying I must buy the Sachs dual mass flywheel.

Thanks

Surely this will all cost you quite a bit?

Doesn't really matter although handy to fit same make for warranty of parts purpose, then each company can't blame the other if one part fails.

To Wilsy, kit can be had for £400 for complete clutch/flywheel and release bearing.

Only asked as got in contact with a clutch supplier and they asked what make of clutch and dmf was on the car.

Why does everyone complain about the flywheel being really expansive lol I was under the impressio. Of about a grand lol

thought people got shot due to the weight and/or the fact that it can fail, rather than it's size?

Hi guys,

For the VAGs it normally differs depending on what kit is on the car from the factory. This will normally be LUK or SACHS - Once thats found out, you can then purchase the relevant kit.

Although the BRISKODA Forum discount doesn't apply to Clutches and DMFs you can still get 15% off all clutch parts by using the code CLUTCH15

If you want any help finding the correct one, feel free to give me a shout!
