Hi Buddy, The sound clip i did was light revs on a full exhaust system. i.e a BlueFlame Sports cat/downpipe and then a cat back Piper system.

I now have a decat fitted so does make car louder.

I used standard ones. I'm not aware of any aftermarket or poly ones.

Thanks rob, will get some ordered then :)

Update:

The exhaust was getting gradually louder and I thought it was a symptom of it bedding in, but when I went for my WOF (MOT) it turned out it was blowing at both joins.

This means the guy who fitted it made a mess of everything he did that day, left an exhaust mount nut loose and about to fall off, neither joint done properly, scuffed my wheel and blamed me for it. T**ser.

Anyway they took it off and re-fitted it properly. While it was there I asked if they could make it sit right as it has never quite lined up how I wanted and it was knocking if I backed off the power.

Not sure if it wasn't quite made right or my decat fitment pushed it out of alignment but it turned out the easiest thing to do was chop it in a couple of places, get it aligned and re-weld.

They did this for me and it now sits much better.

But - the more important thing is the sound. It now sounds absolutely brilliant. It was blowing a fair bit it turns out especially when on full boost and when engine braking causing a low drone which was getting on my nerves.

Well now it's almost silent when cruising and sounds so much more "tuned" when on the power. Need to get out on the back roads and have a proper blast to enjoy it to its full potential!

Nice one Rob,

shame the T**T didnt do it right first time! I had my tail up like that at first and it took a few tries to get it right but mine used to slightly catch on the metal bar just behind the bumper when it got hot lol.

sits nice now too

nice

Interesting Rob that you had a few leaks and issue with the Piper alignment as I had exactly the same. I did mine myself but it was a pain in the a*** to align. It could be due to my decat also as the curved section in front of beam was hitting the underside of car. Great exhaust, sound fantastic but fitting was the worst I have done, and I have fitted loads. I have one of those FK exhaust's(twin DTM tailpipes) that I might play with when weather improves.

Good result in the end Rob :)

That alignment now looks 100% perfect B)
