Has anyone had any experience of a rattle coming from the handbrake at low speeds. Its annoying the **** out of me but I dont want to lose a full day by taking it to the dealers to find out they cant trace it.

Its a 54 plate fabia vrs with 5.5K onthe clock.

Other than the rattle its a great little car.

theres a little bit of plastic which clips in just under the handbreak itself i had the same probs i just took it off and cliped it bak in again havent had the problem since

or it could be the passenger seat belt clip rubbing against the centre console, it did this on mine, a small piece of felt stuck on and problem solved.

I had this problem with my vRS Octy, mine was the button that rattled, took me months to find what the problem was. I had a new handbrake fitted under warrantee.

If your having trouble take it back to the dealer.

so does mine...

I had this rattle for a couple weeks & now that I've read this post^^^^ the rattle has gone!!

Ditto for me, however the trim was a poor fit and clipping it back in didn't sort it for me, still moved about... gaffa tape to the rescue! (underneath out of view of course, I may drive a skoda but I'm not that much of a pikey )
