After many many cars I've finally took the plunge and bought another Octavia VRS TFSi..

I'm from Inverkip, just West of Glasgow. married with two kids who I've also turned into mini petrol heads, much to their mothers disapproval :-)

Really needed a good family car again, test drove a 2008 Focus ST500 which was a gorgeous car but I wasn't too happy with the very heavy feel of it and I was also a bit let down when it didn't really live up to my expectations of being a very quicj hot hatch. I test drove the Octy immediately after driving the Focus and it was quicker, quieter, roomier ans just felt an all round better car, apart from the red leather recaros of course!

Picking the octy up tomorrow morning, my last one was a 2006 corrida red hatch, this one is a 2006 Black magic hatch which I always thought was a nicer colour, especially when polished properly. To be fair I did love the red one too but I got a lot of ribbing from my mates at work as all the taxis around here sem to be red octavias...lol

Really looking forward to being a regular visitor and maybe managing to a meet or two.

TRawled through the site and couldn't find any of my old posts or pics which was quite disappointing, I would've liked to had a look at my last Octy to compare them. I'm guessing old posts from non active members get weeded out somehow.
