car running fine last night

been out today and having trouble with 3rd and 5th gear

just wont go into gear sometimes works around 20% of the time

rest of time nothing had do drive from 2nd to 4th

any ideas just seems to have happened suddenly

anyone local could have a look will pay

I would suggest resseting the gear linkage

Its an easy thing to do but you have to make sure your gear selector on the gearbox is pushed all the way up before trying to push it down slightly (Took me ages to figure out wjy mine wouldnt move as much as his did in the video) its all very simple from there

Will do mine when back off holuday, it's never been good at quick changes to 2nd, I reckon this could sort it!!!!

was going to try skoda in bilstion tomorrow

have took the cover off and there is a bronze spring thats all i can see

Yours sounds more like the dog bone mount, problem I had till I changed it.

I ment Steve's problem sounds more like dog mount bush. Yours I'm not sure of

problem sorted fine now lol

should have thought and checked sooner

had a induction kit fitted and the breather pipe

had fell in the metal lever thing for the gearbox under the bonnet and was wedged stopping it moving

Sorry to dig up and old thread but didn't want todo a new thread after seeing this

My 3rd gear churches slightly and 5th is spongy like it feels like it hasn't selected but it's in gear? Lol

Just thst I can't see the video as to what to try
