VRS Dramas

Hi all, I have a 55 plate Fabia VRS with a cracked cylinder head.... Happy days :-/

Ok so would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to get it fixed, I'm located in the south east. I have been getting crazy quotes. Cheapest option is a full engine recondition which is £1500. Skoda quoted £2500 to just replace cylinder head.

Oh dear

get a second hand pd130 cylinder head, get it pressure tested and skimmed, swap everything over from your old cylinder head to the new one.

you could even sell the bits you dont use to claim some money back

I dunno, you might find an entire engine more easily than a cylinder head.... Then sell off the bits you don't need.

Contact Unit 18, their labour will be far cheaper than most places, and will do the job properly too. You source the parts and they do the rest :)
