I am very happy.............

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just thought Id say I am well happy. Way back in 2008 I had a Longlife Exhaust made up when they were based in Cardiff and I was happy then but kept having to go back to get it adjusted and after a few trips it was sorted and fine. (so I thought)

Any time I had a prob it was sorted and last year there was a crack in the middle silencer and that was sorted no trouble.

I kept trying to get them to do me a 2.5"DP to go with the 200cel cat and system I had on. The same person who made my system kept fobbing me off really so I ended up going to Prospeed on city road and they made me one up ne probs, They also noticed that the Longlife system was not that good.

They pointed out that the over the beam pipe was just a straight pipe that had been bent and was even more restrictive than the std system as it was all folded up and mangled.

I was saving to get it sorted by Prospeed but for now I am not spending anything on her as she has had too much to date.

I had a knock develope a few week ago and took it back in to try sort it. theey pointed out that the back box would need remaking and would cost 120 notes ish and I said I was not bothered really as I wanted to get the whole back section re made as the pipe was just a bent one.

The lass who has only taken over there in the last year or so saw it and knew straight away who made the system up lol and said she was not happy with that and to book it in and they would re build it.

I was a bit worried it would cost a bit and tbh up till then I was not liking Longlife at all, only used them as adj was free. so I asked what it would cost and she said its free. :o

Well I went in today after work and OMG I have a grin From ear to ear now as the sound is very much the same but there is no restriction now like there was.

It felt before like there was a build up of gasses which made the car hesitate and jerky on slight lift where now there is none and it pulls all the time now, Think it really does need the map tweeking now lol, Paul might get more from it easier than he did before.

So

Real thankyou to Kate and the guys at Longlife Caerphilly!!!

They have really sorted it out up there and you feel welcome now where before it was a bit uneasy.

Billy

ps think ill get the decat for it too tho :p

From the title of your thread, I opened it assuming it was going to be about Caerphilly cheese made from longlife milk - now the thoughts in my head - Caerphilly cheese & Jacobs cream-crackers - mmmmm :p

ps

Result on the exhaust

lol, yea, mmm you got me going now, think a waly to Sainsburys is in order for so Carrs lol

Cheers

Yea well happy with it, dont know why I put up with it before, didnt think it was that bad but now its soo free flowing. Also got another set of hubcentric 5mm spacers to go on the rear which I poped on and went for a drive and OMG its soo nice to drive and doesnt seem as twitchy as before with just 5mm on the fronts.

LOVE THE CAR ALL OVER AGAIN

:giggle:

Hey good result  ,

It restores your faith in companies, lots of firms forget people talk and share experiences. Takes years to build a good reputation and

it can be lost in one day. I have seen the adds for longlife systems do they build it on the car??.

yup its all customised to the individual car and how you want it to look and sound to a point.

The reason I had to keep going back at the start was I wanted it tucked up so it didnt look like the Miltec and such after market off the shelf stuff does hanging down slightly and as such it was catching on stuff when Hot as it grows 1-2" when motoring lol

Its a grower not a shower lol

not sure on other longlife outlet tho as I think it belongs to some other company now that do alloys n stuff.

Prospeed in Cardiff get  from mee too, Charlie is a good bloke.

Both get my vote

I was.

Now my mood has sunk a bit.

Ive managed to sauce some reasonable Ronal R32 rims that will need a refurb and tyres but for the price was worth it but Ive managed to get a definitive answer from an R32 boy that they dont fit without spacers........
