Now this sort of engine in a Yeti would be lovely thanks Å koda. You might even call it a Yeti vRS. Please.

It is an American website! So that is US MPG and not UK. :giggle:

So that improves it dramatically to er 25mpg (UK) approx.

My current road car is quicker to 60, also all wheel drive and with better consumption.

:giggle: :giggle: :giggle: Not far off my consumption then!

And it is 26,4 mpg UK in fact.

 b**ger!

:giggle: I still think 0-60 in 6,1 seconds is very good for A an SUV and B a KIA!

Have to agree there. I was shocked (and a bit put out!). Nice conversion site you linked to there Johann, btw. Thank God I had said approx.

hehehe... well I did not know what the difference would be (and did not even try to do an approx guess like you). So had to Google a conversion site just now myself. And then that came up and yep, have now bookmarked it as it is rather handy.

Nice to see they do proper long term tests, keeping the car for 40,000 miles.

Unlike Top Gear / What Car? etc. using them as company cars for their staff trundling around London for a couple of months

Whatever- it's still a soft roader even if it accelerates harder than most of the breed. Fine if you aspire to some horror like a Cayenne Turbo , X5 or RR Sport as your dream drive but lower 0-60 times just mean it's another overweight car with more power than it needs. More to the joy of driving than a fairly meaningless stat which no owner is likely to replicate if they have an ounce of mechanical sympathy. My advice- buy a standard Sportage or Yeti and an old MX5 which will give more driving pleasure than any 4x4.

Speaking of conversion, try the currency converter on Google and the (fully loaded) deal comes in at less than £20k. Now that is impressive!!

I wish they would put the 2.0 TSI engine in the Yeti you would do better that 22mpg in that.
