Radio Code

Featured Replies

I may well need to remove my Dance radio to look for an annoying rattle.

If I disconnect the radio from the battery, how do I get it to work again when I re-install it? My dealer doesn't know the radio code and will make a charge for getting it (via the computer I believe). Many thanks.

It should just work when you reconnect the battery, as the code is stored in the ecu.

Good to know! Also very clever, if not what should really have been a feature of cars for longer than is has been

Twice when I had to unplug the battery the Dance unit asked for the code. It wasn't given to my when I first got the car so I had to take it to the dealers and link it up with the vag server in order to download the correct 4 digit code. No charge and now I just got it written down somewhere so I don't forget. Maybe on the vRS is different? I hope so.
