We're defo going, meet lakeside or sumin richard?

Yes, I'm happy to go in convoy... but let's wait for the car to come back first. :D

I'll probably loiter near J28 on the M25 and catch you as you go past. Saves driving in the wrong direction.

Are you bringing a good camera to get some pictures?

I'm bringing my sexy 70-200mm L lens to let Gareth_1.8T take some photos of us on the strip. :)

Official 'Team vRS' photographer checking in :D

May need a quick tutorial session with Mr Xa0sx to increase the chances of any decent pics....

I got as far as junction 21 on m1 and blew turbo - intercooler hose off. Got no tools on me and the mikalor clamps gone walkies too. Turned around now to go home and did :-(

Times are worse today mainly due to a rather strong direct headwind bkoing down the track.

Will post more later.

Not a day for great times, just for having fun and meeting up.

Glad it is at least dry for you guys! :)

My best was a 14.3

pretty disappointed tbh but as richard said conditions weren't wonderful.

How much was the headwind? I know it can be real blustery up there due to it being so flat/exposed.

Not sure, but the flags on the waiting area were at full stretch and flapping away.

Despite getting similar 60ft times and 1/8th as last time, I was having difficulty cracking 100mph at the end when last time I was doing 104. Seemed to be about 5mph and 0.4 seconds down on the 2nd run onwards.

The best run was the first, then the wind got stronger.

Shame as having seen Luke's car go next to mine on the first run I'd expect it to do a 13.8/13.9 under the same conditions I got a 13.6 last time. Luke was about 0.5 behind, but baring in mine that was his first run at Santa Pod it would have been quicker later on. Your first run time is usually the worst, but it was all back to front today due to the weather.

Still not a bad morning out and nice to see a few forum faces.

Well, those that made it... sorry to hear about your pipe popping off Luke (Friggerpants). :(

As it was bad I ran without using the launch control after a few goes and was impressed with the results. My best 60ft time was better than any time I've managed before, as I always used the traction control up to now.

Days like this make you realise how little difference there is one you get into high power Fabias though. A few hundreths of a second here or there is nothing on the road.

I'll keep mine as it is I think as I'm really happy with the balance of power, everday usability and economy.

Gutted I couldn't make it :-(......What was best time each of you got?

I've had my hose off, and because it's Alloy, and Mikalors are hard as nails, the mikalors have crimped the alloy pipe from me over tightening them (Well, how else am I to know they're tight, lol?)

My best was 13.8 and Luke got 14.3. Then Ross a little bit behind that i think at around 14.5 ???.

Luke and Ross's first goes so they could have been improved if the conditions hadn't got worse and worse...

When I went before it was +5c warmer and with no wind, I got 13.6.

This is how windy it was towards us leaving: :o

Shame it wasn't going the other way because we'd have all be taking off by the end! ;)

Still, a sub 14 in those conditions sounds decent. :) I had a headwind for my 13.7, but it was nowhere near what you had - it was around 10mph I think, no more.

PS: If it was 5 degrees cooler that means faster. :D
